The cruise industries 'night of nights' is hosted by the International Cruise Council Australasia.
This is an annual event where cruise lines are able to recognise and reward outstanding achievements from within the travel industry.
Below are details on each award category including how finalists and winners are determined

This award is presented to the top three Cruise Travel Agencies in both Australia and New Zealand as GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE winners.
Voting: Each Cruise Line Member of the International Cruise Council will nominate their top five offices. Nominations are based on sales volume, sales growth, marketing efforts, attendance at training and overall product support throughout the year.
Nominations from the cruise lines are collated with the top nomination earning 5 points, 2nd nomination 4 points, 3rd nomination 3 points, 4th nomination 2 points and 5th nomination 1 point. The Gold, Silver and Bronze winners of this category are determined from total points earned across all cruise line member nominations.
NB: Agency submissions for this award are not applicable and it is important to note that the biggest selling office based on sales volume will not necessarily win this award.

Voting: Each Cruise Line Member of the International Cruise Council will nominate their top five consultants. Nominations are based on all cruise activity throughout the year including attendance at training, sales growth, promotional efforts and overall product support.
Nominations from the cruise lines are collated with the top nomination earning 5 points, 2nd nomination 4 points, 3rd nomination 3 points, 4th nomination 2 points and 5th nomination 1 point. The winner of this category is determined from total points earned across all cruise line member nominations.
NB: Individual submissions for this award are not applicable and it is important to note that the biggest selling individual consultant based on sales volume will not necessarily win this award.

The winner of this award category is determined by the ICCA based on total accumulated accreditation points earned through attendance at training, completion of cruise line members online courses and ship inspections undertaken over the last 18 months.
The Rising Star Award is aimed at consultants who have worked as a travel consultant for less than 3 years and in the last 12 months shown outstanding achievement in their efforts to learn about, promote and sell cruse holidays.
NB: Individual submissions for this award are not applicable.

This category is open for self-nomination by any Travel Agent member of the ICCA.
Submissions must be based on consumer cruise promotions undertaken over the previous 12 months that feature an ICCA Cruise Line Member product.
Potential finalists will be judged on the efforts and success of a specific FIT or Group Travel campaign as well as overall strategy of the campaign in any form of media.
Nominations will be received from ICCA Travel Agent Members and judged by an independent panel based on information provided using the following criteria.
This category is open for nomination from any retail network across Australia or New Zealand.
Submissions must be based on consumer cruise promotions undertaken in 2010. The aim of this award is to recognize the most outstanding consumer promotion by a network.
Potential finalists will be judged on the efforts and success of a specific FIT or Group Travel campaign as well as overall strategy of the campaign in any form of media.
Nominations will be received from any network and judged by an independent panel based on information provided using the following criteria.

OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION BY AN INDIVIDUAL TO THE CRUISE INDUSTRY
In honour of the late Neil Frazer
Neil Frazer was a pioneer in the Australian Cruise business and it was his passion for cruising that inspired many of our leading cruise agents today to diversify and invest in marketing and selling cruise product.
The aim of this award is to recognize outstanding contributions by an individual to the cruise industry and is intended to encourage excellence and innovation whilst identifying and acknowledging someone who has also supported and encouraged others and gone beyond the call of duty.
Nominations for this award will be open to all ICCA membership categories and judged by the ICCA Board.
Submissions for this award category will be accepted from journalists for articles published over the previous 12 months.
This award aims to recognise the high standard of cruising journalism in our region, which plays an important role in raising the profile of the cruise industry.
An independent judging panel will consider all cruise articles which have appeared in print or electronic media and is open to freelance and staff journalists from mainstream and trade media outlets.
Comprising at least 800 words, the articles must have been published or broadcast during the previous 12 months and must be based on a cruise experience undertaken within an 18-month period prior to publication. Blogs on a cruise experience written for a print publication's website will be eligible.
